WHAT IS GLYPHOSATE?
Glyphosate, better known by the brand name, Roundup, is a pesticide widely known to cause cancer. It is used on everything from grains to fruits and vegetables, and often, even organic foods can test positive for glyphosate due to cross-pollination and overspray. Glyphosate is problematic not only because of how toxic it is, but because, unlike other pesticides, it is sprayed on grains both throughout and at the end of the growing cycle, meaning that it is present in greater quantities at the time of harvest.
In addition to cancer, glyphosate has been shown to cause disruptive interference with the bacteria in our GI tract, contributing to obesity, depression, inflammatory bowel disease, Alzheimer’s, and Parkinson’s.
